Welcome to the Cherry Trees Wildlife Garden Website
How the garden got it's name!
Cherry Trees is a small town garden that is dedicated to, and designed especially for, wildlife. You may realise by now that our British wildlife is under increasing pressure from intensive farming and unimaginative gardening practices, therefore it needs all the help it can get. This is where town gardens planned with wildlife in mind can come to the rescue. This is the purpose of Cherry Trees. We are a demonstration garden showing just what can be done. You will be amazed by what can be achieved in the space of a biggish allotment. You don't need rolling acres to take delight in wildlife. You can have it in your own back garden, even if it is just a courtyard.
We open for the National Garden Scheme during the summer months; you can find the dates on the NGS page. You can also find out more about the NGS by following the link on the same page.
We hope you will enjoy what you see on our site and that it will encourage you to visit us on our open days. Hopefully, when you leave you will be brimming with ideas for your garden.
You can keep up to date with what is happening by reading Henry's monthly blog.
Meanwhile have fun in your garden. Henry and Evelyn.
By the way, in case you think we are just a couple of middle-aged enthusiastic amateurs who don't really know what we're talking about, Henry is a Dip GD (diploma in garden design) and a Dip Hort (RHS level 2). He has also completed an in depth certificated wildlife gardening course. He has recently gained his diploma in literature and creative writing with the open University.
Oh, and don't forget to visit the "other interesting stuff" page!
